M1 · Part 03 of 3
Sharing the Vision — Serving with the Same Heart and Mission
Introduction
Ministry is not random. We have a clear vision: reach the lost, make disciples, plant churches.
Everything we do in ministry must somehow help move us toward this. If a ministry or minister is not helping us move toward this, we must be willing to adjust, change or remove it.
Study objective
Purpose: To make sure everyone serving carries the same heart, vision and values — reaching the lost, making disciples and planting churches.
Section 01
WHY VISION MATTERS
Ministry is not random — we have a clear vision, and everything we do should move us toward it.
Key scriptures
Matthew 28:19–20
The Great Commission: “Go and make disciples of all nations…”
Habakkuk 2:2
“Write the vision and make it plain…”
Section 02
OUR VISION AND VALUES
Our core mission: win souls — reach people with the gospel; make disciples — help them grow in faith and character; plant churches — expand God's kingdom by raising leaders and teams.
Our core values: evangelism — sharing the gospel regularly; discipleship — training and shaping lives; church planting — multiplication, not just maintenance; teamwork — serving together in unity.
Section 03
WHY THIS MATTERS FOR THE TEAM
We cannot move forward in ministry if everyone is pulling in different directions. A divided vision leads to frustration and stagnation.
Everyone in ministry must embrace and carry this same heart and mission.
Key scriptures
Amos 3:3
“Can two walk together unless they are agreed?”
Section 04
SELF-REFLECTION AND LEADER CONVERSATION
Discussion questions
- 01Do you fully agree with and share our church's vision and values?
- 02Where did you get your passion for this mission? Was it caught from this church, from God's word, or another place?
- 03Are you willing to lay aside personal preferences for the sake of the bigger vision?
- 04Do your personal actions, conversations and attitudes reflect this same vision outside of official ministry?
Closing discussion
- Ministry is more than filling a position — it's about pushing forward a shared vision.
- We ask all who join our ministry teams to carry this mission in their hearts, in how they serve, speak and live.
- It's not just “the church's vision” — it must become your vision too.
